2Jackson Hole Outdoor Leadership Institute

Jackson Hole Outdoor Leadership Institute offers training through applied educational programs related to Avalanche Education and Wilderness Medicine.

In partnership with Central Wyoming College-Jackson, the Institute provides classes and certification for students who want to attain college credit and for those who want to be better prepared for outdoor recreation.

The institute provides classroom and field training in American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE), Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO), American Heart Association (AHA) and American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid.

After successfully completing the specific course, students will be able to obtain nationally recognized certificates of completion in Avalanche Level 1 & 2, certifications in Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Wilderness First Responder (WFR), cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and First Aid.

3Carbon County Higher Education Center

Carbon County Higher Education Center is a Board of Cooperative Higher Educational Services, the result of a 1985 agreement between Carbon County School District #1 and Western Wyoming Community College.

The Center is designed to provide industry training for high school students and adults, adult basic education, college-level classes in Rawlins and the Little Snake River Valley.

After successfully completing the Certified Nursing Assistant course students will receive a certificate of completion which entitles the student to take the competency exam required to be certified in Wyoming.

Enrollment. Application requirements varies by course.

WyoTech provides career training programs that help students get job-ready in just 9 months.

The program starts with 6-month Core Programs.

By attending the Automotive Technology course, students can earn up to 7 Certifications, including ASE Entry-Level Certification, Mopar Career Automotive Program, and Snap-On.

By attending the Diesel Technology course, students can earn up to 5 certifications, including ASE Entry-Level Certification, 609 EPA License Certification, and Kenworth 100 Certification.

The Collision & Refinishing Technology course gives students the opportunity to earn up to 8 Certifications, including ASE Entry-Level Certification, I-CAR Pro-Level Certifications, and EPA 6H Painter Certification.

5SAGE Truck Driving Schools

For 30 years, SAGE Truck Driving Schools have provided high-quality tractor-trailer driving training to students across the country.

With over 40,000 graduates to date, SAGE schools help students receive the attention and hands-on training they need.

The program consists of 150 hours of instruction conducted over 4-5 weeks.

SAGE’s instruction is conducted on a private, one-on-one basis on the road; each student will have 44 hours of one-student-per-truck driving.

There is never more than one student per truck during road time.

6GC Technical Education Center

Gillette College Technical Education Center offers several technical programs: Mining, Machine Tool, Diesel, Welding, Industrial Electricity, Industrial Technology, and Engineering.

The Center has a state-of-the-art facility that incorporates a high-bay diesel lab with bridge and jib cranes, a welding lab, three industrial electronics labs, a high-voltage lab, a “sandbox” for vehicle and safety training, a manual and computerized machine tool shop.

Gillette College is part of the Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD), together with Sheridan College.

Northern Wyoming Community College District is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Wind River Job Corps Center teaches students the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce at no cost for the student or his/her family.

Job Corps is the nation’s largest free job and academic training program for young adults.

The program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor is designed to help young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.

The courses take 8-12 months to be completed.

The Job Corps program is authorized by Title I-C of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.

8Wyoming Real Estate Institute

Wyoming Real Estate Institute is providing training programs for future salespersons and brokers.

The school uses the TCD method of learning, which involves taking tests, correcting the test with the student and discussing the areas that are not clear to the student.

Class time is allocated to areas the student finds difficult.

Wyoming Real Estate Institute is regulated and licensed by the Wyoming Department of Education.

Wings of Wyoming Flight School is offering FAA Part 141 and FAA Part 61 training.
